JASON VISITACION

I was born and raised in the Bay Area, specifically Santa Clara, where I grew up surrounded by sports and competition. Basketball was a big part of my life, and I’ve always been a passionate fan of all sports, whether it was playing, watching, or studying the game. That early foundation helped shape how I see sports today — not just as entertainment, but as stories filled with emotion, culture, and meaning.

When I moved to Hawaiʻi for college (GO ‘BOWS), everything changed in the best way. That’s where I first picked up a camera and discovered my passion for sports media and storytelling. Being able to combine my love for sports with creativity allowed me to grow into a visual storyteller, capturing moments that bring athletes and teams to life in a different way. A fun fact about my journey is that I also worked as a Division I women’s scout player for all four years with WBB, which gave me a deeper understanding of the game from a player’s perspective and helped shape how I approach storytelling in sports.
